The state New Mexico MainStreet office is happy to welcome Daniel Gutierrez to the team as the new Assistant Director! Daniel was associated with the Barelas Community Coalition and Acting Executive Director for Barelas MainStreet from 2008-2014, making him well acquainted with the principles of the program and the Four-Point Approach®.He holds a BA and MA in Sociocultural Anthropology, and will soon complete a PhD in the subject from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Daniel’s passion and dedication to community economic development are evident through his successes in Barelas, where he raised hundreds of thousands of dollars in grant funding, sheparded the MainStreet designation, and was involved on the Railyards project.
