Silver City MainStreet has opened an RFP for Operating the Silco Theater, located at 311 N. Bullard Street, Silver City, NM.
The Silco Theater in Historic Downtown Silver City, built in 1923 is currently being renovated. When the renovation is complete the Silco Theater will be a one-screen movie theater with seating for 180 and equipped with Digital Projection Equipment. There is a spacious concession area, formerly operated as the Silco Confectionary, with lobby and street access.
This request is for a proposal to operate the Silco Theater for two years, commencing when the theater is certified for occupancy. Letter of Agreement to be executed between Silver City MainStreet and Silco Theater Operator.
Operator will be responsible for the following:
- Rent of $3,500 a month. Water, sewer and trash collection included. All other utilities are the responsibility of the operator.
- Security Deposit of $7,000 due at time of signing lease.
- Providing a concession area and point of sale equipment meeting specifications provided by MainStreet.
- Cleaning, routine building upkeep, liability insurance and equipment maintenance contracts.
Silver City MainStreet to provide major building, electrical and mechanical maintenance and repairs.
Proposal must include:
- Operator Movie Theater Experience
- Theater Operations Business Plan including Marketing Strategies
