Publications
New Mexico MainStreet releases two major publications a year, a newsletter and an Annual Report. Distributed in January, the newsletter covers specific projects or endeavors that MainStreet communities have been involved with or may be interested in learning about. The Annual Report, distributed in July at the end of the fiscal year, contains comprehensive information about program activities, community reports and year-end financial statistics. Meetings
The New Mexico MainStreet Program meets four times a year, with each quarterly meeting having a different theme or topic of discussion. The location within New Mexico varies but representatives from all participating communities are required to attend. The Winter Quarterly is held in Santa Fe in late January in conjunction with the state legislative session. The spring quarterly is usually attendance at the National Main Streets Conference, to be held next March (2008) in Philadelphia. The summer and fall quarterlies and are held in MainStreet communities throughout New Mexico on a rotational basis.
The next New Mexico MainStreet quarterly meeting will be held in Las Vegas on August 9-11, 2007. The fall quarterly meeting will held October 10-12 in Silver City. For more information, please contact Julie Blanke at 505.827.0363.
Awards Archives
New Mexico MainStreet holds its annual awards celebration in conjunction with its summer quarterly. Awards are presented to deserving communities, partners, and local businesses that have shown outstanding accomplishment in downtown revitalization and all areas of the four-point approach.
