New Mexico Main Street Program announces a competition for an innovative and intensive design redevelopment project within the district resulting in “construction-ready” documents: Great Blocks on MainStreet (GBoM). The project is designed to prepare for the upgrade of economic performance of the project site through public infrastructure reinvestment along the street through the creative implementation of urban design, architecture, and landscape architecture and public art. The first phase public infrastructure investment is meant to catalyze and leverage second phase major private sector redevelopment by the local partners, resulting in commercial property restoration and renovation, and business investment.
Up to two public infrastructure projects will be selected by a professional panel, based on a proposal submitted jointly from a qualifying local MainStreet, Frontier or Arts & Cultural District organization in partnership with its local governing body. Please see the Request for Proposals for additional details.
The Request for Proposals deadline is June 27, 2016.
